Subject: Top All-Time 5 MAAC Players

Who would be the top 5 all-time players in MAAC history, regardless of position?

My choices:

1. Lionel Simmons (LaSalle)
2. Luis Flores (Manhattan)
3. Tim Cain (Manhattan)
4. Tony George (Fairfield)
5. Steve Burtt (IONA)

Honorable Mention: Randy Woods, Doremus Bennerman and Keydren Clark.

Kevin Houston, Army

Ruland did not play in the MAAC.

Burt was not good enough to carry KeKe's jock.

I add Doug Overton to the first team. He may have been the best PG ever in the MAAC, and probably enjoyed the longest NBA career of any MAAC player.

Michael Meeks - Canisius. All time Division 1 scorer born in Canada until 2 years ago. Can't forget this guy....

That wasn't me, but Meeks has to be there. And Mendez passed him so he should be there too.

Maybe all Canadian or all Puerto Rico but certainly not all MAAC.

Ruland, Smits, Kenny Charles, Tom Gola, Billy Campion, Calvin Murphy, etc.... all were not MAAC players, I believe.

I would give consideration to Tommy Best,Marvin Andrews,Tony Walker,Willie Haynes,Shelton Gibbs,Alex Roberts, Jasper WalkerRicky Bellinger and Luis Arrosa. Not Lionel Simmons types but guys that dominated in their times.
