This downplaying of Slice's recruits is stupid, in my opinion. He's done very well recruiting-wise. He has brought in players who will have strong careers in the MAAC. Gabriel may not be a Big East-caliber player, but as an undersized post will have a good career in the MAAC. Ditto for Green. Guys like Crawford and Pearson are solid MAAC-level players, in my opinion. Personally, I like the make up of this team. They've got a blue collar quality to them, a bunch of tough, lunch-pail types from local programs. They're the same types of kids that he recruited to Pitt.

They may not be "Big East caliber" recruits per se, but the objective is to win, and he has brought in guys who can excel in this conference and help this program find its identity, IMO. Gonzo brought in plenty of talent, but he also brought in some players with a lot of baggage, for what it's worth.

If I'm a Jasper fan, I'm feeling pretty good about how this roster looks right now. Given that recruiting is Slice's forte, the talent level will only get better. And from the outside looking in, I like the make up of this current group.

"Manhattan won ten MAAC games last year and this squad is better. If they win 11, plus the 7 they already have in the bank, they could push 20 in the Tournament. If so, the abuse we give Rohrssen will turn around into "Coach of the Year" honors. One can only dream if the upper classmen stars didn't bolt the program when Gonzalez left what Manhattan could have been this year."

StinkyCheese, Jeff Xavier "bolted" the progeam. The other 2 gangstas Dubois and CJ Anderson failed out. They are about as smart as a doorknob

if Manhattan's 3 of Green, Gabriel and SMith aren't the best recruiting class, with the walk on Nick Walsh thrown in there as a 3 point specialist, who has the best class?
