Subject: The Hayseeds finally wake to a dose of reality

How many times have we said what a disruptive and academically unqualified loser this kid is. At a better school he would have been gone last year.

Fran is now learning he has to pay the price for his less than stellar scholastic choices. Now, everyone is seeing why the bigger boys passed on Edwin.

Anyone wish to render a guess on the next casualty? A good guess might be DelaRosa,then Jackson.

That sucks. I was worried that could happen.

Better now than during the season. I have to imagine that Fran saw this coming. Give Siena credit for putting Edwin's academic interest first and not just use him unlike some others.

But let's be real, with Siena's depth of talent and amazing coaching they should still be primed for that Elite 8 run.

The Saints are applauding McCaffrey for taking action and suspending Ubiles "indefinitely" to "REDEDICATE" himself to academics. I had heard Ubiles had "NEVER" dedicated himself to academics.

I wonder waht the Hayseeds think about McCaffrey's handling of Antoine Jordan who stayed eligible by NCAA standards too at Siena - yet he left Siena well over a semester away from graduating.

Where was Fran to help Antoine????

It's kind of funny that someone would refer to Edwin as disruptive. I am very familiar with the Siena program and their players. Edwin is as far from being disruptive as you can imagine. He is an extremely quiet and humble kid who seems to struggle with his academics. He is definitely not disruptive in any way, shape or form. Anyone who would suggest that he is obviously has no clue about what they are talking about. Also anyone who would suggest that he is a loser is someone who needs to take a close look at themself in the mirror. This kid has overcome alot of obstacles to get where he is today. I think Fran is making a decision that is in the best interest of this kid, according to NCAA standards he is eligible and in many programs throughout the country would still be out there playing. Hopefully he will get his situation in good order and be back out on the court. It would be a great success story to see this kid make it and fans of college sports should be rooting for a young man like Edwin to be successful. I know I am pulling for him. Personally anyone who would call a college kid a "loser" has some self-esteem issues of his own, so don't be mad at the fool who started this post, just feel sorry for him.
