Talking about a Sporting News/Street & Smith article....

"It was a decent write-up but I don't agree with his assessment of the MAAC being a "low" major. Certainly the league has had its ups and downs but should have the potential to rebound this year. Siena is definitely a mid-major program, no questions asked."

The MAAC has had an avg RPI of 18.5 from 2001-2007 so therefore is basically a Low Major or Low Mid Major at best.

But he goes on to separate Siena from the rest of the MAAC by stating - "Siena is definitely a Mid Major program" I guees therefore the rest of the MAAC is holding Siena back.

During the same period 2001-07 the Saints have an avg league placement of 4.7 or between 4/5th place.

Forget Mid Major they are a Mid MAAC team.
