What a great in depth analysis and honest appraisal by one of our most respected fans.

Told all of you. We really don't have any weaknesses. Look at all that MAJOR talent coming in. Oh I wish the season was starting tomorrow. I'm so excited by my Saints that it makes me want to pee in my pants.

1. "This year's weakness will be next year's strength"

We all know that rebounding especially but defensive presence as well inside have been issues all season long. Some have posted that possibly these issues will be addressed....

I think barring injury its a foregone conclusion that next year will be a MUCH better rebounding team and a better defensive unit as well.

none of this is knocking any of these guys but just showing strengths and weaknesses

leaving are ...

Haddix:
- known for his inside post up moves and offensive rebounding... although I think his numbers are a bit inflated by grabbing his own missed shots. One of, if not the best inside offensive game ever to play at Siena.
- not known for his defensive rebounding or defensive presence inside. A little slow to get off his feet and an average athlete. Took until the very end of his career to learn to pass out of double and triple teams.

Ryan:
- known for his outside threat and composure on the court. A solid passer as well. Has been asked to do more over his career at Siena than possibly anyone in the history of the program. He has played all positions except PG at one time or another. Tremendous effort every night on the court.
- not known for his rebounding or defensive presence. A little slow to get off his feet and an average athlete. Although known for his outside shooting he shot .394 on the season and Siena really needed him to be around .420 or better to compensate for the lack of rebounding and defense.

Beers:
- Known for his outside shooting. A designated "Marksman".
- Not known for his defense or speed. Played a very reduced role in his senior year with some academic issues towards the end.

Diop:
- Known for his "110% effort" on the court. Also known for getting the crowd involved as well as being a crowd favorite. Played a very limited role this year as Fran elected to develop the rookie class.
- not known for his offense.

Incoming are ...

DeLaRosa:
- known for his passing and lightning quick. He seems to be playing in a different gear than the rest of his highschool team. Pesky on the ball defender.
- not known... dont know much about the kids weaknesses yet other than height (he's 5'11")

Jackson:
- known for his flat out scoring ability. Has the ability to score as well as anyone in Siena history. At 6'5" offers the ability to play any of the one, two or three. Shoots over 40% from three and has the ability to thow it down.
- not known for... again .. dont know much about the kids weaknesses... one question mark will be his defense. If he is able to play defense at the D1 level the league is in some SERIOUS trouble and another incredible recruit for Fran

Rossiter:
- known for his footwork in the post and baby hook. Has been rated by a couple of sources as having the best post offense of anyone in the NY City area which is impressive to say the least. Has competed with any level of team he has faced. Some of the best teams in the country have had to alter their game plans because of this kid.
- not known ... the only questionable thing currently is this kids weight. If he can get to 220+ by the time he hits the court for the Saints he will be a flat out steal for the MAAC.

Priestly:
- known for his leaping ability and rebounding. The kid averaged a double double his senior year. A stat line of 15 pts and 15 rebounds was quite normal for Stephen. Had a chance to meet him at the MAAC tournament and he is really looking forward to joining the Saints. He is READY to play at 6'7" 230 lbs and looks every bit that size. Look for him to be next seasons Alex Franklin
- not known... there isnt a lot known about his offense as he was on a team with some serious ball hogs. The fact this kid would get 10-15 pts a night on put backs should be enough to have Siena fans salivating

Duell:
- known for his solid mid range game and developing a post game. He has bulked up to 250 and slightly taller than Haddix. He is capable of averaging 5-8 boards a night... perhaps more with his added size. Was the America East rookie of the year for Vermont.
- not known for his post game but is rumored to be developing nicely.

Carr:
- Known for... in highschool he averaged like 8 blocks a game or something crazy like that. At 6'10" and over 240 pounds as he develops strength he should be a good defensive presence in the middle.
- not known for his offense.
