Compare that to the annual salaries of Town Manager Dennis Piendak, $127K, and Assistant Town Manager Glen Edwards, $83K, which is a much more logical perspective.
Gary McCarthy actually edged out Mark Riopelle for the DWSD Superintendent's job, and the very first thing McCarthy did as the Water Super was to hire Riopelle as his Assistant. I think the difference in annual salary between a town department head to his/her assistant ought to be about $30K-$40K. When it comes to employees' salaries, is the DWSD better managed than it was in the Lambros Administration? Beats me.
