I enjoyed the poem, but not the content.

The big problem lies in the fact that they’re (those presently in control) are not done yet - there’s more to come!!!

A much bigger problem however are all those out there who firmly believe that government should do more and more. You know, those whose livelihood come from the public trough (already getting and wanting more) and those whose ambitions are to wait for politicians to buy their votes by providing them with everything that they are too lazy to earn!!

But, still a much bigger problem, are those working their butts off trying to make ends meet, going along, by reelecting those same people causing the problems. You know those who work less than 100 days a year, willing to sell their souls to the highest bidder (those big contributors like the Unions, special interest and those others of the "me, me, me" generation).

The government (local, State & Federal) is already taking better than 40 percent of our hard earned money, won’t consider anything in the form of reform and when they do is almost meaningless. They haven’t got the guts to cut payroll, obviously because laying off union members might get the Unions angry and they would lose their monetary support They’d prefer to cut back on the needy and the helpless and allowing our infrastructure (roads and bridges) to go to pot.

I have referred to our many elected officials as gutless but if you stop and think about it “we the people” have turned out to be the gutless ones. We who stand by and let our hard earned liberties be taken away from us without a peep. Those who can and should run for public office won’t. We won’t even got out to vote or even help support candidates. Those in the media who have forgotten that the pen is mightier than the sword, who continually ask for your written thoughts or comments, then when you do, they refuse to publish anything that you say which might be the truth and nothing but the truth, if what you say, in any way, might be offensive to those who need to be told.

This political correctness has gone too far.!!
