First of all you say that Elaine Espindle chose not to have her contract extended opening the way for a new superintendent.Fact is she was never offered the chance and when asked by Mike Miles during a school committee meeting if she would stay if offered an extension she said that it was never offered to her.Secondly you say her contract runs till June 30. Then starting April 1 to June 30 Mr Mullen is coming on board as a consultant at 65 dollars an hour for 10 hours or 650 a week.You then say that this way we are not paying 2 superintendents , saving the town money.How can this be when they will both be on the payroll during that period.The extra 10 grand in consulting fees isnt saving the town money.Why would a current superintendent with 10 years experience need a consultant with no experience? You can tap dance around it all you want but facts are facts, they are both going to be on the payroll at the same time , saving the town nothing.
