Hi, Katie(did) here. Thanks for bringing up some valid points. I never thought about the dehydrated fruits sticking to teeth and causing tooth decay. I will take these out of the mix, as I would never want to do any harm to my furballs. I also should include banana chips...I knew I was missing something! I had given my flyers banana chips in the past, but they didn't seem much interested, so I haven't bought them in a while.

As for the dried veggies…The dried veggies are not sticky at all...they are crunchy and I see no problem with adding this to their mix. They are all natural and the flyers like them. The amount that is added to the mix is a very small amount. The Krunch-a-rounds(TM) indeed are a rodent treat, and they are also included in a very small amount, and they are just something "extra" that I include on occasion. I included them because I found them to be a reasonably healthy treat (A soy nut center rolled in a crispy rice coating and then covered with sesame seeds). With the amount that gets scooped up into the 1/4 cup (or less, depending on how hungry they are) that my flyers get weekly, they aren't "pigging" out on "junk food".

As far as the mix goes...this is the mix that they can snack on throughout the day...they get lots of in shell nuts to eat daily, as well as fresh fruits and veggies nightly (along with a variety of protein sources)...and this is outlined in the diet section on my website... Moca posted the link, but here is again:

Thanks for reviewing the mix listed on my site. It is very beneficial to get different opinions in regards to such things. To prevent my site from being misleading, I will remove the "recipe" from my site.

In the future, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about the material listed on my website, as I want my website to be as up-to-date and accurate as possible. It is never my intention to mislead anyone, and anyone that knows me will definitely back me up on this. If someone hadn’t brought this post to my attention, who knows how long this information would have remained on my site before somebody said something. As fellow flyer lovers, I would hope that we can all be kind enough to share information with one another.

Thanks again,
Katie
