I imagine its a little bit of both...
Probably people are infatuated with the idea of having a flyer, but when it comes down to actually getting one, they chicken out... probably for the best. They probably wouldn't be good owners in the long run.

I guess you have to just go with 1st come 1st served mentality. Only hold them for 24 hours after an appointment for delivery or take a Non-refundable deposit...
