I have hickory nuts (shelled and unshelled), walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts... Her problem began over the winter when I had to leave her and Mr. Peepers alone for about one week when I had to go back to the Detroit area. Since then, she has become cage bound/sock bound, only coming out of her sock to potty and eat. She also had a problem a while back with her tooth, I thought it was just a sunflower shell stuck in her gumline, but it was actually part of the tooth fracturing. She has now started coming back out, but has a hard time with the shells on the hard nuts; will hold them, roll them around but not try to open them up. I am going to call around to see if by chance there is a vet in the area that I can take her to to file down the tooth. If not, I guess I will have to attempt it on my own with my little drill that I have! Thanks for the offer of the hazel nuts. My two are very picky eaters, they don't like those. They are like little kids, they both have their favorites; Mr. Peepers will steal every Brazil nut he can find and Ms. Bubbles will take all of the almonds!
