Subject: New cage

Just finished a new cage, I don't like cages with wire bottoms or catch pans, they rust and are hard to clean.

I purchased a new 55 gallon polyethylene drum and sawed off the top and bottom to make the top and bottom of the cage, discarding the center portion of the drum.

I made a cylinder of cage wire to fit inside the drum, added doors and we are good to go. I put a good-sized climbing branch inside.

It is over 5' tall and about 2' in diameter, well over 15 cubic feet.
