Subject: Sad news..

Just goes to show how unpredictable things can be with
flying squirrel mothers. I went to take a peek at the
Northern momma and babies for the first time since I
took the pics of them. Only two babies remain. For
what ever reason she had eaten two babies. I don't know
if there was a problem with the babies, if they could have
died, or if she killed them for some reason. The remaining
two boys looked fine. Fearing the worst, I pulled them to
hand raise them. Their eyes are open and they are doing
fairly well trying to get used to being fed the Esbilac.
