That is too funny.. Maybe they think there are nuts hiden under ground.. hahahahah Who knows.. Maybe they just love to dig. Personally , I think its instinctive. If you watch out doors , the wild squirrels dig all the time. They are looking for something or hiding something. Right now, there is 4 grays digging in the snow in front of my glass wall. I toss sunflower seeds out to make it their while. lol
