Subject: Someone ate babies!

I have 3 female flyers and one male flyer caged together for the past 2 yrs. Unbeknownst to me, one of the females became pregnant and had babies. I found out when I found pieces of 3 babies in the cage that were chewed up. Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm not sure if it was momma, papa, or someone else. Could it be a dietary deficiency? I'm just trying to figure out what may be going on so I can prevent it from happening again.
