Hi I have read the book it was a good read but it didn’t help me much. I’m 55 and was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was in the first grade. I have read a lot of books on this subject over the years, and found that hardly any of them knew what they were talking about, and most of them were so off base that they hurt more people than they help.
The best thing I have found is just keep looking for what will help you where you are weak. My weakness is my spelling. So I look for anything that will help me, I use software that will correct my spelling, like Dragon Naturally Speaking, WordQ, and a new one out called Ginger. I haven’t seen anyone cured that has dyslexia, they only learn to cope with it. To me it's like a person missing a leg, they could get a prosthetic or they could keep stumbling around hoping that it will grow back.
So find out what helps you and go for it.
