Hi All
I am new to this forum.
My dyslexia is cause by my Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), and it is running my APD coping strategies under stress that make my dyslexic symptoms worse.
I have problems with reading what they call large chunks of text, no definition as yet of a large chunk, but i take it to be a paragraph or so.
I think we all really need find out what the underlying medical causes of our dyslexic symptoms really are, or may be a conflicting learning style.
When we can understand the nature of the issues that cause us to be dyslexic, like say Irlen Syndrome, the sensory information processing problems (especially visual and auditory processing processing disorders), the motor information processing issues, that can all combine to create and underlying page of clinical issues which we need to have identified.
Each dyslexic has thei own set of underlying causes and this why it is not possible to fit a one size fits all solution or support package, and why some programs help one group of dyslexics and not another set.
