I once had a friend in college who was not able to tell left from right. The way she solve this problem for herself was to wear a bracelet on her left wrist. When she took the bracelet off at night she would place her hands on the dresser. This put her left hand and the bracelet on the left side of the dresser. She would then take off the bracelet and put it there on the dresser. When she got up the next morning she would simply put the bracelet back onto her left wrist since her wrist would match the place on the dresser where she had removed the bracelet. In this way she always knew left was on the bracelet side of her body. One could use a bracelet , a ring or nowadays it's fashionable to wear rubber bands on your wrist.
