How do you handle reading out loud with dyslexia? I found out I had dylexia not to long ago, I went to bad schools that didn't give much so they never tested me, I found out on my own a while back.

I guess my question is how do you handle reading out loud with dyslexia? I HATE reading outloud because it sounds horrible,

What do you tell people when they ask you to read out loud...

* you for got your glasses?

*Sore throat?

what do you say or do you simple tell them I have adyslexia?

Please help! TY

I just simply say, "No Thanks. I'm dyslexic and perfer not to."

You can only be honest and rest in the truth.

THERE IS NO SHAME IN DYSLEXIA!!!!

I didn't know I was dyslexic all through grade school, highschool, and found out in college. I just got by. I fought hard, even when I sounded funny reading aloud I still did it. I am better now at reading aloud because I just did it. If you practice you will get better. You have to fight it, you take control, don't allow the dyslexica control you. Find a way. Why make excuses when you can try. Don't be embarrassed if you are ?
