'Taare Zameen Par' (TZP) is an award winning Indian movie which depicts life of a dyslexic 9 yr old boy who goes through very hard time at school. His teachers, peers, parents fail to understand his problems & label him as 'lazy', 'impatient' & 'not motivated'. As a result, he loses his self-esteem, gets very depressed & hopeless. At the end, there's a teacher (a dyslexic too) who understands this boy's problems & helps him discover his talents. The movie was soooo inspiring for me that I have seen it atleast a dozen times. I could see myself in this movie. After understanding the root of my problem (dyslexia), I went about learning more about this strange disorder. Now, I'm very glad to discover the bright side of this which I was using unknowingly. I now 'see' (visually in my mind's eye) the word 'Dyslexia' as a rough diamond (rare & very expensive) which needs some polishing :-)
