I understand how you feel, please know that you are not alone! I know I think I am the stupidest person around when I can't remember information that I think I should know. I've wished for an MRI, sure there must be something wrong. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I don't think it is just dyslexia, because we are bombarded with so much information these days that we expect too much of ourselves. For remembering things, try to get into a habit of using mneumonics, or associating info you already know with what you want to remember (like I had to memorize the word "benthic" which means oceanic bottom feeders, so I pictured my friend Ben plucking lobsters out of an aquarium at a resturant we went to... so whenever I heard "Benthic" I thought of Ben, who plucks lobsters... and AH HA bottom feeders!) Then when your brushing your teeth or driving down the road, think about that association periodically. I JUST started doing this and I almost cry at how well it works when before I just thought I was an idiot who couldn't remember anything. It's a weird method, but hey you might be the same kind of weird so I'll suggest it anyway :)

Don't beat yourself up over forgetting something though, because everyone does it... even the most brilliant people
