Thanks for the wake up call Alix. Its just that I have a major self esteem problem and that is what is keeping me back. Sometimes I am extremely positive and I think that I can do it but then "old faithful" creeps back in again. I really and truly hate my job and what I do. In retrospect I think that I just studied so long and hard just to prove to others and/or myself that I can do it and that I am just as good as the other person. I hate sitting at a desk I am really an outdoor person. I have invested in a book called "Changing Careers" and I will actually make that move very soon. I just have to take the time and do it properly. By the way I went away for a three day weekend trip and pratically slept for the full three days.
Thanks for keeping me on track.

Anne-Marie,

You sound just like me. I tried to prove to everyone and myself that I am brillant but they still think I am a flake. Why? Well, my family is set in thier thinking and, when my dyslexic blanks show up in the middle of a sentence, they feel they are right. No matter what I did/do I will not change thier minds.

I have proven to myself that I am brillant. I have done many different jobs from light industral to Employment Consultant to persons with disabilities, and have enjoyed them all.

I am 62 years old and just drove 1,600 miles by myself to my new home. I had to call them everynight to tell them I was okay. Sigh, I guess they love me. 62 and having to call home.

I enjoy my life and will continue to do what I want. There is alway something new to do and see. Another nice person to meet.

When I am 100 I will have so many interesting stories to tell and so many good memories.

This is what is important to me.

Go get 'em and, most important, have fun.

Alix

Hi Alix. Sorry for the break in transmission but I went to my graduation in Scotland which was absloutely fantastic by the way. I came back on line and I could not remember how to get back to the discussion forum. I think I have it now. By the way today is my first day at a new job.
