I have no answers for you, and I wish I did. I have had a lot of problems in my life because I do not process some information at the time it was given to me. I usually take about 5 minutes to let the information roll around in my head before it really means something to me. People think I am not listening but I do hear them. It takes me a while to respond. Do you have a very good friend who would help you by rehearsing questions and answers? Do you think telling interview people that you would be very happy to answer thier questions but a demonstration would show them what you can really do? Dyslexia is considered a disability when it interfers with you life. Contacting your state Vocational Rehabilitation office for help could also be an answer. I found that if I ignored all the extra ideas I had, the most basic part of the question was what they were looking for. I also have to look at the question from their point of view, otherwise I dont get what they realy want to know.I did better when I was interviewed in person rather than answering writen questions. Many times my spelling mistakes were the cause of not getting a job. I teach and I forget to mention that carry a spell checker in the classroom. When kids ask me why I check my spelling I explan I have dyslexia so I dont want to give them the wrong spelling.
