Hello Alix:
I also have problems with writing. So I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking ($99) speech recognition software. You can dictate everything you want to write. The computer will then type it out for you. No, spelling mistakes!
Text-to-speech software: I also use two products to read everything on the computer to read it to me. TextAloud (www.nextup.com) and UniversalReader (www.readingmadeeasy.com). These are not expensive programs.
I read a lot of books. I scan them onto my computer (OptiBook 3600 scanner $250) do Optical Character Recognition (FineReader Pro $150). Then I conver the text into mp3 files (TextAloud $50). This way I read a lot of self created audio books.
