Hey!

I'm totally with you on this one! I will read letters and emails over and over again thinking they're fine - send them out and then "d'oh!" the next day!

I find it helps to take a long break from the material you have written and then return to it (preferably a day later) with a 'fresh' mind. You will probably find that you will be able to spot more mistakes this way. It definitely helps with me.

Good luck!

I have the same difficulties you mention, and a couple of things that work for me are:

- When using email, wordprocessor or powerpoint, I use only Trebuchet MS or Arial fonts, with at least size 11/12.
- I try to type the message straight out, letting the spell checker catch the reversal of/missing letters, and then SLOWLY re-read the entire document looking for errors.

Still, I sometimes miss things, so don't be disheartened, sometimes a little joke about it to those that are concerned helps them understand.

Good luck !
