Hello peops.

Our Admiral has had a different pulpit fitted. Whoever fitted it seems to have been able to use the two aft location points of the original but the two forward legs have been bolted through the deck just inboard of the bow cleats. There are two square aluminium blocks, bolted to the deck, a foot either side of the bow roller. It looks as though these were where the original pulpit was fixed. Can anyone confirm this?

The four bolts that secure each of these to the deck have rusted to the point where the heads sheared off when I tried to remove them. Despite applying plenty of penetrating oil, and liberal use of a hammer, the blocks are staying stubbornly attached to the deck.

I'll be grateful for any suggestions. At present, I'm drifting towards tidying them up and leaving them there but I'd prefer to remove them.

Best wishes,

Alan
