Why do you need a GPS dome? On my 27 I've got a Garmin 550 chartplotter which is mounted on the bulkhead below dash height alongside the wheel/instrument box, it operates well on its internal aerial picking up all the satelites, so you do not need an usightly dome.
For my radio I have used a metre long stainless steel whip VHF aerial mounted on a bracket on the top of the wooden penant foremast, via a plug and a socket in the cabin roof and the cabling hidden by the headlining down to floor level and under the floor to the wheel position. The range and reception is excelent and it is also neat, tidy, and inconspicuious, so does not spoil the classic lines, it's also a simple instalation to do.
Best regards
Robin
