Hi Alan,

The blocks might just be stuck down by a layer of sealant. Oil-based sealants in particular can go quite hard especially in cold conditions, as we found out when we were trying to remove the windows on our 23. You could try applying some heat to the block with, e.g. a paint stripping gun (carefully of course!) and then driving a square-ended scraper blade under the block.
