Subject: Seamaster 30 Canopy

The canopy on my 30 soft top has reached the end of its useful life and we have decided to get a new one. A big issue is the fact that the canopy is only held by the turn buckles on the top of the rear cabin and does not seal to anything so a stern on wind really whistles in. I was thinking of getting the canopy material extended beyond its normal length (where the turn buckles are)and having Velcro or Tuck-Loc stitched to the hood with the corresponding strip stuck to the cabin roof to make a proper seal. Of course there I still the problem of the cut-outs for the hand rails but the canopy maker thinks he can solve this.

Question is has anybody else found a solution to the lack of sealing of the canopy to the rear cabin or can see any downside to mine? any response gratefully received.

Best Regards.
