white diesel is fine as it has all the addatives to assist better running ie(cleaning agents),during the winter months a winter grade diesel is produced to stop waxing due to extreme cold they do this by adding a percentage kerosene which has a lower temp tolerance this is done in manufacture this used to be from october to april but not sure of exact months now as Iam retired from the oil industry the addatives do vary from company to company as they are rack mixed from major storage depots that supply several suppliers ie: bp shell texaco and so on the basic fuel all meets a set standard and then they add there addative hope this is of some use best regards
