I am looking for a spare ignition coil to have as a spare on my Seamaster 27 fitted with a Ford 115E 1969 / 1970 Wortham Blake engine.

The question that I keep getting asked is "does your ignition have a ballast resistor?"

Does anyone know the answer as to how I can find out - the only markings that I can see on the coil is 12V HA12 45171 [could be slightly different as it is hard to see] I have also been asked what type of distributor is it? but I can see no markings inside or outside.
