Thanks for your reply. We are new to this format so hope this follow on appears ok for all interested parties to read.
We have since spoken to a canopy maker who has advised that a better fitting canopy will resolve the problem. Still not sure about this - expensive - need to make further enquiry.
Interested to note your comment about the fold-down screen lifting. Our problem seems to come from wind driven rain coming in between the canopy and the top of the screen. Water pools in the helm and then spills over and down underneath the strip of hard wood "capping" and on to the panels. We have since fitted a cover over the helm and wait for more wind and rain!!!!
