>Hi Alan, I used to have a Seamaster 27 and I think in general terms, there no more trouble spots on these than on any other 30 to 40 year old boat. There is always the potential for osmosis, leaky windows and bits of rot on woodwork which ever boat you choose. Only points that do spring to mind are the fuel and domestic water tanks. If these are the original galvanised ones they may be in need of replacement, but other than that they are a solid, safe and very stable cruiser. I would suggest going for a diesel version and try to get one with original gel coat if possible. My 1972 model which I sold in December 06 still had her gel coat in fantastic condition. A testimony to the original build quality IMHO.

Regards, Steve
