I have just purchased a Seamaster 27 with a Wortham Blake/Ford petrol engine. Tickover seems too fast and when put into gear the lowest revs I can achieve is 4000rpm. The rev-counter has a needle set at 3000rpm. What revs do I need? Am I best to check & adjust the throttle cable and/or adjust he idle speed on the carb?
