In reply to: Simon Shaw 's message, "Sailer 23 mast footing" on 14:47:30 04/01/2008 Fri

The foot on my boat is a T shape in al alloy, that is screwed to the base of the mast. It has two holes for the two bolts that attach it to two al angles on the cabin roof.

I would investigate getting a secondhand mast foot (from any boat as long as its bigger!) which you can get machined to fit, or getting one made up from either a solid billet of Al, (which will be expensive), or seperate plates that are bolted/welded together
You may be able to get the missing material on your current foot added by welding, etc and machined afterwards.
I am in Herts, but feel free to get in touch if you get stuck
