>Hi Chris,

I got mine through RS - you need closed cell neoprene foam tape, one side with adhesive. I used 25mmx6mm. Bob Bailey who first posted this question replied back to me with a specialist company he'd found on the net - www.sealsplusdirect.co.uk who seem to do a comprehensive range of tapes and seals. The trick with the escape hatch is once you've replaced the seals (not forgetting a thin layer of silicon grease to stop the hatch becoming welded to the frame over the years) is to NEVER open it again unless it's a real emergency! The foam tape is OK once in place, but it doesn't stand repeated use and does degrade in sunlight - even the 'UV stable' version!

As I suggested to Bob, the article in the club magazine archive online about window changing is a good guide, even if you're not acutally removing the window frame itself much of the theory is the same.

Good luck and best regards,

Richard
