I suppose this lead character is better than a movie that deeply examines (another) psycho killer. We barely have more than 200 of those in ther firmament, now do we? 2000?

Okay, so this is a "dark comedy" cause its about a super loser, not a super killer? Or, its an empty film about a cinematic creation not worth caring about as exaggerated in the film, and not real either when he walks away from the fortune cookie that falls onto him. It was believable that a drunk superstar could beat the shit out of a moron fan on a simple mis-hearing of words said in a noisy bar. It is NOT believable the moron would walk away from acquiring the resources that would finally place him INSIDE the stadium next year, and year after year after that, forever. This is another Archie Bunker type creation (but in a different direction) about a character that does not exist except in the minds of shallow observers who are satisfying their own lack of understanding for whatever insecurities or agendas they have inside.

The dockets of our courts are filled with real life hopeless losers who fall, or hope they have fallen, into a life changing amount of payola, on the most incredible bullshit. Thats real life, and not fertile ground for finding characters to base a feature length film on.

I don't care that the jackal pack bought into the lie. The film sucks.
