There is basically two different harneses. One is for large denomination (ie $5.00 tokem, silver dollar). The other is for small denomination. I have never heard them referred to as loop...

I believe you can get the tool for pin extraction at Jameco
www.jameco.com shame to buy this if this is for a 1 time job. If you are careful you can push it straight out using a set of needle nose. After the solder job simply put it back in place and then pull it back until it locks.

Both Looms will work perfect.

The Loop is there as a voltage devider and is only nessasary if you use CC-16C comparators.

Machine..........................................Comparator

|--1 DIV1
Orange/Violet----------------------------------(--2 Coin/Sg
|--3 DIV2
Orange/Green-------------------\ /----------------4 24V
x 5 12V
Orange-------------------------/ \----------------6 GND
