I am here. Runaway hoppers are either the hopper micro switch located at the top rear of the hopper not making good contact (adjustment for coin passing under roller) or defective hopper control board.

>I OHMed the switch and it checks out good, normally open and makes good connection when depressed. Adjustment seems good. But as I follow the green wire down out of the mircro switch into a 3 prong white connector I notice there is a short black 1" jumper wire that comes out where the green wire goes into to that connector. The short black wire has some kind of little resister in it as it goes back into the 3rd hole of that connector, the resister was brittle and seemed to come apart as I moved the wiring. Is this possible the bad spot and if so where can find that little brown and white resister? (sorry im such a slot nimrod)

I checked the hopper mirco switch, I passed a coin under the roller and it appears that the switch is making good contact. If the hopper control board is defective is it repairable or replacable? (I am waiting on e series manual in the mail) where is the hoppr control board located?
thx john

the hopper control board is located behind the front plate of the hopper where the handle is. Has the 2 buttons reset/test buttons. If you do a 4 test and the hopper starts up - move the roller arm at the front up and down and see if it counts coins.

right button on hopper control board 4 times - meter will increment as you press button - once 4 is reached hopper will start and try in payout 10 coins - as coins come out of hopper meter right will count the coins with a 4 staying on the left side of meter.
