Hi I have a Triple diamond S-plus Machine. When I first turned it on it Had 12 in the led display. I checked the battery- ) volts. So I changed the battery. Then it went to 61 I presses the self test button for 2-3 sec and 61 -1 came up I closed the door, Turned the jackpot key to reset. And It didn't do anything different. I did notice that the Jackpot light both were still flashing after I shut the door. I believe the top light should go out when the door is shut.-- Now when I turn it on the 61 code comes up and when I press the self test button a number 2 flashes in the coin in led and it goes back to 61 again.

First should I begin by replacing the optics on the door. And second how should I clear out the 61 error? Should I replace the CMOS?

Thanks for your help

You need to perform a memory clear. Replacing the battery corrupts cmos, so you need to clear it. If you don't have a RAM clear chip, then you can also try by changing to a different game chip. What SP game chip do you have on your machine?

Hi,
I tried to short the battery. Now it doesn't go past the 61 if I hold the test switch in. it will go back to 61. The top lamp flashes slow and the bottom lamp flashes fast no matter if the door is open or closed. I had another cmoc chip and changed it out. The first time I powered it up I got a flashing 25 where the 61 comes up. I shut the door and 61 came up.
Then I opened the door and pressed the self test switch and got 61-1 I closed the door and turned the jackpot key and 61 came up again and now it won't go back to 61-1

The easiest way to clear the CMOS chip is to short the battery for a second or two, or else pull the CMOS chip and then replace it. You may get a 66 or 67 error code, re-power up and you should get the normal 61 sequence.

The slow-fast combination on your jackpot light indicates that there's a door open tilt. Check the bill acceptor door, front door optics, loose connectors etc.
