I have a Universal Pacific five reel "TAB Doubles" machine. I can't seem to get the top awards lights to stop flashing on the machine. The coin diverter activates during testing but, it won't activate when I drop a coin in to play the machine. I have wedged an object into the armature of the diverter arm in order to allow the coins to drop into the coin hopper. If I didn't do this the coins would drop into the coin bucket only. I think the machine is stuck in jackpot mode and without the reset key, I am stuck. Any suggestions to hot wire past the jackpot reset wiring? The wiring consists of three wires and when I attempt to jump two of them, nothing changes on the machine. I have even pressed the reset button on the computer's board itself but, that doesn't stop the flashing lights. The flashing lights do stop when in test mode though. Its a great machine and a lot of fun to play but, I wish I could get it working the way it was meant to work.

HI, I have the same machine and can not clear out the machine error, my question is, did you happen to find any information at all on this machine, best I can tell is that it is a 8600 board but can not find any information on it, I also have a universal cherry bomp, which also has the 8600 board in it. thank you for you time. Hi,
I have experience in the 8116 and 8800 board, but not the 8600. But I do see on USA eBay a 5-reel Universal manual. Not sure if it will cover your machines?
Diverters not closing is a common problem with the 3-reel machines. I have used plastic ties to keep mine closed so coins go to the hopper. Sorry I couldn't help more.
