Subject: IGT Game King Video Problems

I have a old, IGT Game King, Model 96419000, manufactured in 2000. It has a CRT screen and not an LCD.

The longer the game stays on, the more out of focus the screen gets. After several hours, not only is it out of focus, but the screen is washed out with raster lines across it as if the brightness has been turned up way too high.

If the machine is moved or significantly jostled around, I get the same condition immediately. However, after the machine is turned off for a while and later turned back on, the screen returns to normal.

Any suggestions as to what's wrong? Is my CRT going bad?

Thanks.

I'd try the degauss button if it has one.
