A quick question about IGT slots - how do you know if you have an S model vs. an S+ model? I have an IGT Chaos slot manufactured in 1996 which I am assuming is an S+ and bought my parents a IGT Double Double Diamond for Christmas but I don't know the date of manufacture on that one. I'd like to know so I can get a better manual than the Liberty one that came with them. Thanks in advance!

Look at the processor board. The CPU chip on the S+ is located in the center of the board, at the top. It should be marked U54 and is an 80C32. The S model uses an 80C31.

An S+ board connect to a monther board located below the main board , older versions have it on the side of the machine.
S-SLOT ( RS ) machine always have the baord at the back of the machine , somtimes like the australian version in the top box and the looms of the machine connect directly to the board.
An S+ machine has a gap for a speaker on the front of the machine in the tray below the belly glass.
An RS board only uses one EPROM and S+ can use one or two.
An RS EPROM can work on an S+ board , but not visa-versa.
An RS game does not support reverse reel features.
