2) I think Harm was not necessary being political when he gave Mac his advice. He probably was concerned of Mac’s career taking a hit. He acknowledged that his kind of stunts were not JAG’s hall of fame and hurt his own career. Harm appeared to enjoy the leadership role. I think he would do fine if he was appointed permanently as JAG in later seasons. He might be a more hands-on type of leader. He could take the heat from above but would not succumb to it. He would not be afraid to stand up for his subordinates’ choices as long as those choices were for truth and justice and in the best interest of the cases. He could be diplomatic but he would not play the political game for self-preservation. He would stand by his principle and would ruffle some feathers. It might not work in the real world but it would work fine in my reel JAG world.

3) Harm’s JAG role was only temporary. Mac still saw Harm as a coworker and acted accordingly. Harm didn’t stop her because he also saw her as a coworker instead of someone he supervised. He agreed that it was her choice to make. It was not a wise strategy to shift the blame to the supervisor. Ironically Harm didn’t listen to his own advice later in the Mishap episode although he changed his tactic in his closing argument. I don’t think AJ held Mac to a lesser work performance standard. He was understanding and compassionate to his subordinates up till season 9.

4) I think AJ was seeking companionship but would be open to have a long-term commitment if the right person came along.

5) The statement applied to AJ till the Paraguay fiasco.

6) The writers wanted us to see the other side of AJ. AJ and Harm’s interactions in this episode was kind of funny. The namesake was just a humor moment that the writers wanted to have. Harm and Mac would not name their son after Harm. Using military hero’s name made sense.

[> I rate this 5/5 thought Harm was great as acting JAG especially when he goes to AJ house and finds him with a woman, the look on both AJ7 Harms face when she offers Harm a drink was priceless! -- Michelle UK, 08:19:05 10/11/09 Sun
