Subject: Back at the Beginning

For those of you who are interested in our HB community's history, I'm posting inside below from the Wayback site the very first "getting to know you" thread ever posted on the HarmyBoard. The thread is dated January 18, 2002 and started by Judi, the founder of the Harmyboard. At that point, the HB had only been in existence about two months. Lots of changes in Judi's life since that post and likely in the lives of those who responded.

"Hi everyone! This board has only been here since around Thanksgiving, so it's still young. We have a lot of posters that know each other from Maeve's and from The Blue Angels. But there are also a lot of newbies who we would all love to get to know. So why don't we all post a little something about ourselves to share with everyone else. And maybe a little bit about Harm too. Of course, we want the guys to post too. But you don't have to mention Harm.

I'll start: My name is really judi, but I'm known on Maeve's as joyce and by all as the RDOL (Resident Dirty Old Lady). I founded the OOH (Obsessed Over Harm) and co-founded with Cher, the Blue Angels - and now the harmyboard which belongs to all of us.

I'm almost 52 (boo hoo), happily married, live in Dallas and am a computer programmer by trade who got burned out last spring working 70 hr work weeks on the project from hell. So I quit and now I'm doing volunteer work, taking a course and giving computer support to my internet friends. As for Harm, let's just say that I have been totally obsessed with the man for a long time now. I think my name RDOL says it all about my feelings for him. I think he is incredible gorgeous and sexy and I'll stop here."

I am CB aka Choebe aka Supergirl aka Clau(d) aka...whatever, just CB/Clau(d) is the easiest. I am 24,5 and I live in North Belgium, I am Dutch however. Single so I can enjoy Harm as much as I want and I WANT . I am a diehard shipper, an OOH member as well as a BA. Hi! I'm Jaggie. In RL that is Chris. I am a baby boomer and live in SW Florida. I lurk more than I post, but do enjoy your antics. No kids or husband, but do have pets (4 cats). I have had careers in medicine (Ophthalmology) and Real Estate Appraising. I enjoy volunteering, working with our local theater group and running a craft business. I just found JAG last summer and have been catching up on the first 6 seasons. I have to say that this season is the worst. It was so much better when Harm and Mac were on the same planet! Great idea Judi! I love learning about other chatters. I'm LiJo in the cyber world and Lisa in the real world. I'm 32 (33 in March), happily married to a former Marine for the past 12 years(I love a man in uniform...USMC dress blues are hot!!). I have two boys 11 and 8. I am a daycare provider by day and an aspiring writer working on my first novel by night. I got hooked on JAG when I watched Gypsy Eyes and To Russia With Love. Once hubby, who is a fellow JAG fan, explained the ranks to me, it was much easier to follow. DJE is one of the most handsome men on the planet and CB is stunning. My shipper dom has shifted into neutral. I love the show just for the entertainment value. Bud and Harriet are sweet. Tiner is hilarious. The name "Matou" in French means 'Tomcat'. My Mom gave our oldest of two cats that nickname- his real name is Beau & the baby is Ben or Benny, whom I sometimes call 'Minou' (loosely translated: little cat or kitten). Hey! Checking in a little late . . . . Name's Heather, 2 year veteran of Maeve's, charter member of the Blue Angels, and DJE/Harm fan from Wa-a-a-Y back! Haven't been around much lately cuz RL has been a little busy. It's great seeing so many newbies. Keep asking all those great questions, you guys! I also am a writer of sorts, and can whip up an interesting little story when inspiration strikes. Check out my work at ExLibris (exlibrisjag.com) under the name "Heather Aster" or the title "Alumni" (there are several in the series). Be advised, I write "Harm/Other" since I am not a shipper. My favorite JAG eps include "Washington Holiday", "Cabin Pressure", and "Webb of Lies" (boxers!). My fave Harm uniform is "Mess Dress", and I also love to see him in tight jeans (does he wear them any other way?) and a soft, clingy sweater. The trench coat in Answered Prayers was hot too!
