You said that Mac showed more interest in Falcon than Webb, in GE. Mac *wanted* something from Falcon/Sokol that he wasn't necessarily going to give up easily, but she thought if she buttered him up, she'd get it. CLASSIC use of feminine wiles (and a bit more subtle than Meg w/ the red dress in S1, but same idea).

Mac didn't WANT anything from Webb that she knew he wouldn't eventually give up. She knew from experience, that as hard-to-get as Webb played as a spy (just business), that eventually he'd cough up the right info because it was the right thing to do. He at least had some sort of honor when it came to defense and human life.

AFTER Paraguay, Mac still wasn't "buttering up" Webb, but allowing him to come after her, and responding (sorta) in kind. This is what makes me think she got off track after Paraguay, because she wasn't seeing how he was playing her. She picked up on that stuff pretty quickly with most other guys (Brumby, Chris, Dalton) and didn't let them play her. She was a fairly good judge of character in that respect, and it allowed her to go into relationships w/ eyes wide open. It also made Harm - another good judge of character - roll his eyes and say, "The men you pick..." LOL

Where does Harm fit in? I think she knew, every day, what she was going to get from Harm, and she didn't have to flirt to get it. Even when she didn't understand it, and fought against it, and tried to make "simple things too complicated", I think she knew that she could always trust Harm, and that he'd give her whatever she wanted (except maybe on the ferry in Sydney, but I think she surprised even herself w/ that and, in retrospect, probably wouldn't have wanted it that way anyway). Therefore, she never "put on the charm" w/ Harm, because she knew all she'd have to do is ask (that file, time w/ that witness, an honest answer, a ride to the bank... whatever).

Does any of that make sense? Or do I need to go back and rewatch some eps? LOL
