a) I think in S1 they were trying to develop the harassment issue so close on the heels of Tailhook, but with a different twist. Krennick was obviously the power-hungry one and Harm was the one who could foil her plans for advancement. She had to subdue him somehow. When Harm tells Mac in DW that it wasn't about sex it was about power, that's what he was referring to. I got the impression from Krennick's character that she would most certainly have (and probably HAD) used her seductive advances on other officers - above and below her rank. And after Tailhook, the men in the military were running so scared that they wouldn't even think of breathing a word of it to anyone. So Krennick saw an opening to trample her way to the top and she took it. Harm, straight-arrow that he was, could have derailed her plans with JAG simply by doing his job well. Her goal was to destabilize him and throw him off his game so she could pass him. Everything she did was all about HER.

And don't forget, when they got back from CUBA (after "Smoked"), she shows up at Harm's place in exercise clothes and talking about being sweaty and declaring she was going to take a shower. It was a few seconds after that she was introduced to "Maria Elena Carmelita Moreno Gutierrez"! LOL Thank God Harm brought her home or Krennick could have very easily had her way. Either Harm would succumb to her advances and she could blackmail him for it, or he would tell her no and she would derail his career. Either way, MECMG was Harm's best defense!

b) Bud knew about Krennick because he was on board with Diane in Skeleton Crew. He was around and certainly heard scuttlebutt and gossip aboard ship. OR Harm may have told him about it some time we weren't privy to.

c) I'm not sure the answer to that one. I still have to watch them back-to-back to figure it out. There was certainly an element of cross-double-cross to the storyline.

As for Mac's and Diane's voices - voices are very unique. People who look alike don't usually have the same voices, even twins. I thought it was a good decision. Bud says that Diane was more "fun" than Mac, and the voice they used for Diane's later sounded more "fun", so that was fine with me.

a) I guess the voice is sticky for me, because I saw Skeleton Crew before Death Watch, and this line from We The People from Harm to Mac about his "deja-vu", "Only whenever I see your face or hear you talk." I really wish they would have found a way to finish Skeleton Crew, as it really was well done.

b) Krennick.. quite the complex vixen lol... Because her tenure was cut short, we never got to see where they would have taken that, if anywhere. In The Prisoner there was a little glimpse that there was some level of caring on her part, "Are we having a competition over who cares more about Harm? I'm just as upset as you are.
I'm just not as good at showing it as you are. I never was.
I've grown to care very much about Harm." Then there was her contradictory behavior in Skeleton Crew-- though I really like the scene when she and Harm just stare at each other. The non-verbals in that episode were great.

I am way to nit-picky and analytical, but that is one of the reasons I like this show so much. It provides such a field for my little mind to go in circles lol....

I didn't remember that line in We the People. TPTB should have been a little more careful there. Especially since CB was giving Mac's voice the "Tallulah Bankhead" treatment. I find it hard to believe that two women would have the same low voice. It's obvious that they were trying to make Mac different than the bubbly Diane in so many ways, to the point where Bud says Diane was "more fun". So that line sounded good but contradicted everything else, which makes the line an anomaly and not her voice. Does that make sense?

Toss that in your analytical blender and see what you get! LOL
