[> Both episodes are 5s. What's not to love? Harm's whole life has been fueled by the need to find his father, and Mac is going to help him whether he admits he needs it or not. -- manette, 18:53:58 08/06/09 Thu

2)Trish wanted Harm to settle down, and even if she hadn't met Mac, she'd probably gleaned that as partners they'd gone through a few scary, hairy things together. She was probably hear some little something in his voice when he mentioned her-- so she was a shipper just like some of us.

3)I think Trish and Frank were happy. I think Harm liked Frank. Sure, as long as he thought his father might be alive he would have had issues, but also as the years went by, I think Harm wouldn't want his mother to be alone waiting for a man who most probably wasn't coming home. I have always felt when he accepted Frank's money to help find his father, he was also telling Frank he lovingly accepted the role he played in his and his mothers life.

4)Mac took sexy lingerie to Russia for the same reason any of us would have taken sexy lingerie to Russia if Harm is staying across the hall. She's flirting with him the entire time-- and this is an emotional trip for Harm. He might need comforting in the middle of the night, and Russian winter or no, she doesn't want cradle his head on her bosom wearing a buttoned up flannel nightie with mittens on her hands and thermal socks on her feet. That's my guess.

5) We all have areas of our lives where we are controlled and reasonable, and we have other areas that push our emotional buttons. Harm's button was his father--and it had been his button for most of his life. That could seep into seemingly unrelated areas such as injustice, mistreated children, finding the truth-- but they all came back to his search for his father. He had things to finish and things to do before he could be too emotionally involved with someone- but Mac showed up before he'd finished his to do list and threw his world into a tizzy.

6)I liked the way his father's death was handled. It resolved things for Harm- but what he learned could have been just another story, too. They didn't exactly make it impossible for Harm, Sr. to come walking in the door someday, saying-- you're not going to believe where I've been all this time. But for the time being it let Harm and the audience move on to a differnt phase in his life.

I never really cared if the Sergei thing jived. I'll give the writer's a little lee way if they want to juggle things around to bring in a new compelling character. My only complaint was that they never developed it into anything...so it was a wasted story line imo.

[> [> Ditto to everything that manette said!! I've had unexpected company for the last 4 days. My life is so far behind, that I'm not sure I'll ever catch-up. Thanks Araninda for continuing to do the EOTW. Even if I don't have time to post, I always peruse the thread. -- doc, 11:39:19 08/09/09 Sun
