Removing the keyboard will gain access to the heatsink/fan assembly. First turn the laptop over and locate/remove two screws, one in the center and the other to the side near the memory cover. These screws are about 1/2inch long. There are two spring tabs at the bottom of the keyboard which hold it in place, each about 1/3 the way in from the sides of the keyboard. Gently lift upward on the left end of the keyboard with a small blade screw driver while depressing the left tab with a knife or other sharp tool. Release the right tab and move the keyboard toward you to remove the keyboard. It is not necessary to disconnect the keyboard, just open the screen all the way back and rotate the keyboard on to the screen. Hope this helps.
