I tried to use the combo DVD/CDRW to burn a CD for the first time yesterday, and was informed by two different sofware programs (Nero, and NTI - both latest versions)that I do not have a CD rewriter present. The drive works fine for DVDs/ CDs, but is identified as a Toshiba SD-C2402 under device manager, which is not a CD rewriter. The actual drive says rewriteable on the door, and is a model SD-R2002 according to the label. I have tried uninstalling the device under device manager, and letting it redetect, but it still only comes up with the nonburner type unit. Any ideas? Is it possible that it got reflashed somehow, or needs reflashing, or possibly not what the label says it is? I don't know how to tell by inspection if it really is write capable.

Thanks,
Murray
